Horizontal Sliding Fly Screens for Windows

For window openings too wide for a single roller or hinged screen, our horizontal sliding fly screens do the job properly. Each panel runs on its own track within a slim 20mm x 28mm frame, so you can fit as many independent sliding sections as the opening needs — we’ve built these to cover windows up to 6 metres wide.
How it works
The frame sits neatly into the window reveal rather than proud of it, which keeps your sill clear and stops the usual build-up of dust and debris you get in cheaper surface-mounted runners. Each panel glides on an internal wheel system with brass bearings, so there’s no metal-on-metal friction wearing the frame down over years of daily use — and every panel lifts cleanly out of the outer frame when it’s time to clean the glass or the track. The full outer frame keeps a continuous seal around each sliding panel, so flying insects and airborne allergens are kept out just as effectively as with a fixed screen.
Everything arrives pre-cut to your exact dimensions and ready to assemble — no cutting, no fuss, just unpack the kit and slot it together. Fully approved by the Food Standards Agency and finished in a scratch-resistant white polyester coating, it’s equally at home in a domestic kitchen or a commercial one.
Choosing your mesh
Standard mosquito mesh keeps out flies, wasps and mosquitoes while staying easy to see through and letting air move freely. If midges are the problem, our finer midge mesh handles them too. Pet mesh uses a tougher weave for households with claws to contend with, and our pollen mesh — ECARF-certified and knitted to an 80-micron, 0.8 aperture weave — filters out airborne pollen, which we can vouch for personally as a household that includes a hay fever sufferer. As standard, every sliding screen we supply now comes with Sunox mesh, which is naturally antibacterial and helps filter airborne particles as well as insects.
