Horizontal Single Cassette Roller Fly Screen for Doors
One of the most popular products that we supply is the retractable roller fly screen doors. These contemporary fly screens can be custom-made to fit most types of doors, including sliding, bi-fold, single, double, French, and conservatory doors. The roller fly screen door has been designed for residential use only. They can be fitted inside or outside as they are manufactured from aluminium and are completely weatherproof. Our fly screen doors are suitable for fixing onto wood, UPVC, and metal door frames.
Our retractable roller fly screen systems offer an excellent level of privacy whilst remaining easy to see through from the inside. As well as keeping out flying insects and other small pests, they are effective at reflecting harmful UV sunlight and will help keep out the vast majority of airborne pollutants, giving your rooms a more relaxing atmosphere.

EASY VIEW MOSQUITO MESHOur new ‘Easy View’ mosquito mesh comes as standard in grey decor and uses an 18/16 weave, which keeps out most flies, mosquitoes, wasps, bees and spiders. The real benefit is in the name – you get excellent visibility through the mesh and plenty of airflow, so your rooms stay cool without feeling closed in.
MIDGE MESHIf your problem is the smaller stuff, choose our midge mesh instead. It has a finer 20/30 weave that we designed specifically for our roller fly screen system – fine enough to keep out most small midges (even the Scottish midge!) as well as the larger flies, while still letting as much air through as possible.
TOUGHENED MESHOur toughened mesh uses the same fine 20/30 weave with an additional coating, which helps it stand up to the occasional swipe from a pet’s claw. A word of caution though: roller fly screen doors aren’t designed to keep pets in. Every pet is different and we can’t guarantee one won’t find its way through the mesh, so give them time to get used to the screen and use something more robust if escape is a real risk.
FLUSH FITTING PROFILESThere are two ways to fit your retractable insect screen, and both give a neat, flush finish: Face fit – the screen is installed directly onto the face of the door frame. Recess fit – the screen sits inside the recess surrounding the door.
SUNOX MESHAll our roller fly screens now come with Sunox mesh as standard. It’s naturally antibacterial and filters the air as it passes through, helping to prevent germs and bacteria forming and cutting down on polluting particles – a nice bonus on top of keeping the flies out.
RECESS INSTALLATIONWorried about getting your measurements spot on? The recess fit option has sprung end caps that give you a 10 mm tolerance, so there’s a bit of forgiveness built in.
BRAKE SYSTEMThe brake slows the mesh down as it retracts, so you can just let go and it winds itself back in — no snapping back into the cassette. It’s a small thing, but it makes a real difference to how long the mesh lasts.
LIFT UP BASE BARThis lets you raise the bottom guide track out of the way, leaving a completely flush entrance. Especially handy if you need wheelchair access, or just don’t fancy a trip hazard on the way to the garden.
INTEGRAL BRUSH PILEThe side guides have an integral brush pile that seals right up against the insect mesh, so there are no gaps for anything to sneak through. The base guide measures 23 x 22 mm, as shown below.
WIND PILEIf you live in a windy area then consider having our interlocking wind pile installed, the filaments lock into the mesh to help hold it in position in windy conditions
EASY GLIDE WHEELSWheels at the base of the roller keep everything running smoothly, so pulling the mesh across and retracting it takes next to no effort.
MAGNETIC CLOSING SYSTEMFull-height magnetic strips run down the closing edge, so both the single and double roller fly screen doors stay firmly shut – no gaps, and no clips or catches to fiddle with.
CROSS-SECTION OF THE STURDY PROFILES3mm aluminium sections make our profiles the strongest on the market.
